As part of my UX-UI studies, I have been asked to design a futuristic app, I had an idea to design a tracking app for artificial womb pregnancy. So, imagine that you have the opportunity to have the pregnancy process outside the body. It can be a game-changing point for our rise.
User Research
My target group
Women who are unable to carry a pregnancy for medical reasons.
Women who choose not to carry the pregnancy in their bodies.
Men that desire to have a child without the involvement of a female partner or a third party.
During an artificial womb pregnancy, parents may experience intense emotions. This is the main issue that needs to be addressed.
Artificial womb pregnancies may be perceived as unnatural and thus dangerous.
The parents would want to be informed constantly about any updates or developments.
Fear from the unknown.
Fear of losing the baby.

Users interviews
During my research, I conducted interviews with several men, some of whom were already fathers and some who were not. The results were quite interesting. Almost everyone agreed that they did not want to see the baby at any stage of the pregnancy. Some wanted this as an option from later stages of pregnancy. Everyone wanted to know the baby’s sex as soon as possible. Everyone also agreed that they wanted a lot of medical tests and to monitor the process medically as much as possible. One of the most interesting conclusions I drew from the interviews was that pregnancy is a process that triggers fears and anxiety. The conclusion that available information can reduce fear and anxiety is what will guide me in developing and designing the app.
User flow
Both the registration and the login into the personal profile will take place shortly after browsing the site through a pop-up window. The user will enjoy a personal area, a wishlist, and additional features that are only possible for those with a personal profile. In the same way, we will achieve a personal shopping experience, which was another goal of ours in redesigning. The second advantage, of course, is the fast and easy flow of the checkout process. When the user is already in the shopping bag, he is already registered. All his technical details are already in without needing any additional filling. That will shorten the process and increase conversion rates.

Why did I choose this design language?
At the beginning of the process, I had the perception that my app would be completely white, which was influenced by the portrayal of futuristic products in movies and visual culture. However, I realized that there was an issue of trust among the users that needed to be addressed to improve their experience during the pregnancy process. This motivated me to create a system that combined the colors of galaxies, symbolizing the future, with an organic system of blood and organs. This helped me bridge the gap between the body and the laboratory, and build a system of trust between the users and the product. I strongly believe that trust is an essential component of such a process.
The main features in the “MOTHER LAB” app are:
Doctor’s appointment
Close monitoring of the latest test results around the clock.
Information on the development of pregnancy by weeks.
Recording a sound file and sending it for playback to the baby.
3D camera
In conclusion:
In this app, I tried to maintain constant contact with the user through a wide range of interactions and create a safe space for receiving and sharing information, and enable a pregnancy process that supports parents and allows for a peaceful period of anticipation and excitement.
